I notice Argyle are still charging the dreaded booking fee for the Bristol City friendly, obviously not concerned with the amount but just another moneymaking ploy.Pathetic.

They don’t make money off it, they have to pay ticket master for the privilege.I notice Argyle are still charging the dreaded booking fee for the Bristol City friendly, obviously not concerned with the amount but just another moneymaking ploy.Pathetic.
If all clubs who used Ticketmaster added the booking fee then you would have a point.... but they don't.They don’t make money off it, they have to pay ticket master for the privilege.
I’m alll for knocking the club when they lose millions with crappy release clauses but charging an industry standard charge to cover costs is not pathetic. Still banging on about it is a bit though …

They might just charge an extra £2 and not be transparent about the booking fee due to all the commotion it causes. They could charge £12 a ticket make the booking fee money back and an extra 50p and nobody would grumble. If all clubs who used Ticketmaster added the booking fee then you would have a point.... but they don't.
When purchasing tickets through Ticketek, the booking fee is generally received by Ticketek, as they act as an agent for the event organizer. This fee helps cover the costs of providing the ticketing service, including the online platform, customer support, and other related expenses.Do we know for certain that the booking fee lands in Argyles pocket and not Ticketmasters?
There's always one!!!!!!!!!I notice Argyle are still charging the dreaded booking fee for the Bristol City friendly, obviously not concerned with the amount but just another moneymaking ploy.Pathetic.
The strange thing is you don’t pay a booking fee for a season ticket which requires the staff to produce a plastic card but you pay a booking fee to get a digital ticket for the Bristol game. They don’t make money off it, they have to pay ticket master for the privilege.

Hence my question, having worked with some of these platforms i know they often take the fee themselves. When purchasing tickets through Ticketek, the booking fee is generally received by Ticketek, as they act as an agent for the event organizer. This fee helps cover the costs of providing the ticketing service, including the online platform, customer support, and other related expenses.
They should definitely do this IMOThey might just charge an extra £2 and not be transparent about the booking fee due to all the commotion it causes. They could charge £12 a ticket make the booking fee money back and an extra 50p and nobody would grumble.
Thank you i was about to say the same re purchasing a season ticket, and why should we pay a booking fee when buying face to face at the ticket office?I

As an aside neither Truro or Torquay charged a booking fee for their tickets for the friendlies.
