Slightly off topic but saw a band i’ve wanted to see for ages last night, Kraftwerk. Majestic. Alongside the Chameleons, Psychedelic Furs and Johnny Marr at Forever Now festival. Really good day out
Psychedelic Furs ..that's a blast from the past. Quite liked their tunes , had a couple of their albums and saw them, but what the heck were their lyrics ever about ?! Would love to see / have seen Kraftwerk - legendary .

The Furs were superb too. A really tight, well oiled machine. Their last album was really good too

Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel at the Guildhall, 1974.

Many more followed, from Camel and Pat Travers (at Monroes or whatever it was called then) to the Sex Pistols and the Damned at Woods to Genesis, Elton John, the Police, PiL, New Order, Simply Red and Kid Creole at Cornwall Coliseum.

Back in the day you could get tickets on the door on the night. The first time I couldn't get in was the Stranglers in 77 or 78, I was flabbergasted!

Sabbath at Pompous Guildhall, maybe 77/78?
An up and coming support band called Van Halen 😎

Before Sabbath came on for the encore, the roadies switched off all of the amps.
Ozzies mic amp failed to come back up, so we didn’t get to see them play Paranoid.
In later years, they were down to play at
Donnington. Dio joined band and refused to play 2nd fiddle to Ritchie Blackmore - so they pulled out.
Still no Paranoid.
Then Sabbath were due to play home park but pulled out due to lack of ticket sales

End story, never got to see/hear Paranoid
