Well, just when you think football can’t surprise you anymore a rule appears that quite frankly l never knew.

If you are on a yellow, and get another yellow in a shoot out you can’t be sent off apparently. Happened to Aston Villa’s Martinez in the europa cup (or whatever they call it) for Villa verus Lillie.

That seems like the most nonsense rule ever. The penalty shoot out is still part of the game... Just like extra time...there's no amnesty in extra time!
Presumably if you somehow got 2 yellows during the shoot out you'd be sent off?!

Your last couple of paragraphs is said every time we have a bad season, yet you forget City won it last year and the amount of times we’ve had 2 English teams in the final. City battered Real on Wednesday who were fortunate to go through. (I’m delighted they did).
