Going away from home and playing some really good football against a club near the top of the league, grabbing a brilliant draw and unfortunate not to grab a deserved winner, makes me believe that we have every chance of doing what so many do not think is possible...stay up!
We as fans show up to every home and away match, whether in person or on the various platforms to watch the match online, we support them even if we think we are about to get our butts kicked.
The players against Burnley were frankly a disgrace in the main, however against Sunderland you wouldn't have thought we were near the foot of the table.
We still have a reasonable home record and on that basis coupled with more time with Muslic on the grass, we have a great chance to make things really hard for any team coming here and taking points.

HOME GAMES REMAINING

West Brom
Millwall
Cardiff City
Sheffield Wednesday
Derby County
Norwich City
Sheffield United
Coventry City
Leeds United

Three points from predicted 15 after West Brom

Nine matches at home where every point is going to be so important, having watched that match v Sunderland after sitting in the stadium v Burnley, I cannot believe for one minute that these men will not give us every single inch, they will fight and they will gather points.
Against these teams I see us gathering 15 points at least but ensuring we give a good account of ourselves and not being humiliated again, they cannot do what they did v Burnley again and I think Muslic will ensure that doesn't happen under him again.

AWAY GAMES REMAINING

Blackburn rovers
Luton Town
Hull City
Portsmouth
Watford
Swansea City
Middlesbrough
Preston North End

Eight matches away from home where prior to Muslic we were awful, but this is a new dawn, more time on the grass to get things worked on and a harder working set of disciplined players, no reason not to think we cannot get draws and wins on the road from here.
I am working on the basis that I think we can get 12 points on the road, coupled with 15 at home and the points we have as of today (22) will give us 47 points so not too far from where a lot of people calculated where we would need to aim for staying in the league.
I do not see why we cannot push ourselves, possibly get some fresh players in and show ourselves to be a good footballing team, otherwise what is the point and what would have been the point of the Sunderland performance?

We have literally nothing to lose in our position and are cut adrift as we look at the table today, this could actually be a good thing where the pressure might feel less, we can stay up and the fans will be pivotal in our pursuit of more Championship football next season.

Hopefully, 15 points from games is doable. Away from home ??? Going for 8 points but maybe MM tactics will translate to better away performance. I don't think 45 points will be enough so it all hinges on if we cut out the big losses and get consistent away from Home.

At the same stage last season Wednesday had 23 points (one more than us now), and in their next game were hammered 4-nil by Huddersfield who were fourth bottom at the time.... yet they still comfortably survived. Just saying.
Yes, but you are forgetting Rotherham who were already doomed at this time last year. This year there is no equivalent to Rotherham so one more team to rise above unlike Sheffield Wednesday last season.

Wednesday ended up with 53 points. If we could match that we'll stay up for certain regardless .... because at least 3 teams will not.

We are the Rotherham equivalent so far this year. But we could still mount a comeback...?!
