They left a rugby club in £30 Million in debt before trying to take over the football club. They're not fit and proper to run any business. Same goes for the likes of Risdale and Bates.
Again, predicting the future.

They already owned Morecambe (bought in 2018) when they took over Worcester Warriors later the same year.

If that's the case then, again, there were no flags at the time they bought the club

(From some crude research so timelines could be out, but:

Buying Morecambe: https://www.skysports.com/football/...group-investments-ahead-of-relegation-decider

Appointed to Warriors: https://www.worcesternews.co.uk/spo...ldring-jason-whittingham-join-warriors-board/

)

I'm not defending them, or the test at all, just that the facts in this case don't prove the test rubbish, just shows how hard it is to predict the future and how impossible it is to take a club away from an owner once they're found out.

People keep bemoaning the test.

The problem is the test is only taken at point of acquisition of the club.

At that stage they passed the test.

The test cannot determine how useless they'll become in a few years.
That will change with the new regulator all being well. It will be regularly assessed so it won’t take as long to sanction bad owners

It's Panjab Warriors I feel for this, especially after the amount of money they've given the club to stay afloat. For them to have the rug pulled from under them is disgraceful, and I hope they go after the owner for the money back.

Not seen anything further on this long running saga since Thursday last week. Club has been up for sale for over 1,000 days.

This really needs much more media attention to try and force a resolution before it ends up with Morecambe following Bury into extinction.

This really needs much more media attention to try and force a resolution before it ends up with Morecambe following Bury into extinction.
There was an interview with the chair of the supporters Trust on talkSPORT on Sunday and the local MP has been quite vocal in Parliament, even using Parliament privilege to say things about the current owner that she couldn’t say outside, but considering how little attention Sheffield Wednesday is getting then Morecambe further down the pyramid without any celebrity fans will get even less.
The Club is basically dormant as there are no reports or stories on the websites, they played a friendly last week but nothing about it was mentioned by the Club itself. The squad consisted of 13 players, the 9 senior pros at the Club and Academy players.
Events at the ground have been cancelled. They are due a home friendly on Saturday but with uncertainty about the status of the safety certificate and paying matchday staff it’s not sure if it will go ahead or be behind closed doors.
The next major crisis point is in a fortnight when staff are due their next pay, as of Saturday they hadn’t been paid in full for June.

I really hope for them that they survive. I really feel for fans of Morecambe, the non-playing staff and those whose livelihood relies on match-days. Tribal rivalries aside, at the end of the day we all just love watching 22 players kick a ball around, and to see them worry about a club which means so much to them ... well, we can all relate to that given what we went through ourselves.

Sometimes I think the best thing that could happen to football over here is one of the bigger clubs , Shef Wed for instance actually go to the wall and that may actually force the authorities to actually do something.
Bury were an established club who won 2 FA Cups and went to the wall. No one is safe. At least that started us down the path of the football regulator.

Morecambe were not a "league" club back when I lived in the area - in the 1980's.
Were they any better than Lancaster FC (dolly blues) in the same league at the same time. Evidently, yes. But do did they deserve it? Unsure. A muddy-puddle club with a very limited catchment. If they survive in NL1 north, fine. It is where they belong!
