I wonder what Bristol City has seen in Roy Hogdson to bring him out of retirement as caretaker manager ? I know all about his vast experiences, Premier League, England Coach and International appointments, but , really is a 79 year old going to up to even a caretaking job in the championship ? I have never been a fan of Hogdson but his agent must be able to talk the hind leg off a donkey to get him into that job , or else , the chairman of Bristol City is a pal.

I don’t see the problem with him being 78? If he wants to work, then let him work. He doesn’t need the money so he clearly just loves the game. A win percentage of 42.5% across 24 jobs over 50 years isn’t bad at all. He knows what he’s doing.

I will personally reflect on what you have stated in a few weeks time Les.

Hopefully you won't sound like a fool... in the future, past or present. I wish you well!

This century maybe, but it's nothing compared to Lazurus' reappearance in the dugout for Bethany Rovers.

Biblical comeback that one 👍🏻

I’m also not sure how his return constitutes a “comeback” given that he was managing Crystal Palace in the Premier League the season before last.

I reckon somebody on the board ( or a contact perhaps ?) might remember him from his previous stint at the club, in 1982 ? Firstly as bob Houghton's assistant, and then a not very successful spell as boss. Mind you there was a lot of mitigation..the club was in the mire ..this was the era of ' the ashton gate eight'.....
