Definitely bring him back, he’d have learnt so much from being in a relegation scrap with us and when we needed a performance from him he certainly delivered against Hull.
Agree with this too. We didn’t do much going forward in the final months of the season but what stood out to me was that most of our best positive play went through Alfie. At 10 he was in an out of games, plus arriving in january into a league played at a ridiculous pace he was getting caught on the ball, plus he hardly got a start. But as he adapted he looked like an upgrade on cundle and with a way higher ceiling. He really showed what he can do when he finally played as an 8 against hull.
Showing for the ball deep, carrying it between the lines, making good decisions with the ball, showing great awareness of what was around him, able to pick a final ball, he was the difference. It left feeling a bit baffled we hadn't seen more of him in the run-in (that game was it). It's like when you suddenly find a fiver in your pocket. We don't have anyone who does that and we desperately need it.
I fell pretty sure we'll be looking to bring him back if we have any sense at all.
Doesn't always work that way though. If Divine was an "average" player last season, experience, development and age would suggest that he would likely be an above-average player this season.
His problem was that he wasn't Azaz.
Wrexham fans seem to think they are about to sign Dan Scarr
But that can be said of a potential multi-million pound signing. Nothing is guaranteed. Data suggested that Tyriek would be a good fit. Like you say, it doesn't always work that way.Doesn't always work that way though.
Likewise. There's no other current player that we have that can head opposition balls out of the box like Dan Scarr. He's been a stalwart at our club. I'd be sorry to see him go
He also problem looked eye catching in bang average league one, soon to be relegated league one side before he arrived. There was reason he was at league one side in first place we took punt in wasn't disaster not success.
