Lost.

Hey ho. hopefully cement the runners up spot in the final match.

I'd be surprised if they get any play at all in the 50-over Cup Final today. Been pouring all night, and the forecast is poor. I haven't been able to find out if there's any provision for going into an extra day, but tomorrow looks carp too!!!

No play today - reserve day tomorrow, but it has to be said, the weather looks worse - there's an amber warning out for heavy rain!! They're talking about simply sharing the trophy, but we'll see.

The Hundred - the cricket competition for people who don't like cricket. I know lots of cricket fans and ALL of them avoid it like the plague.
I don't like the Hundred but as an exile trapped in London it can't be denied that they're making a great effort in getting children and families along and it's working. I could see myself taking my son to a Hundred game but wouldn't take him to a county one aside from when Kent play at Beckenham as it's very laid back there.

If some of these kids who go into a Hundred game get into cricket then it's surely not a bad thing? Also I like that the women's game in the Hundred is on a level footing with the men's one.

Another good thing about the Hundred is that it winds up the stuffy MCC members much more then it winds me up...

The stupid thing in my eyes is having The Hundred and the T20 Blast, surely only one short form format is needed.

Totally agree with paragraphs 2,3 and 4, Joe T !! It's the Franchise thing with the Hundred (nobody to cheer for if you're a West Country supporter), and the fact that it has severely devalued the 50 over cup which used to be a really prestigious competition.
But surely you could take your lad to any county game?? They're all pretty laid back, aren't they??!
My concern for cricket is the possible demise of the longer formats, at the expense of gimmicky and money-orientated forms. Give me a 4 or 5 day competition every time, although I do think there's plenty of room for the T20 Blast. At least that's played along county lines and doesn't 'steal' players from other teams! I'm all for upsetting the MCC members though!!
