I wonder if the proposed expansion might mean a relocation for away fans?
Logistically it would make more sense for them to be moved towards the Devonport end as mentioned on here previously.
A 5K expansion indicates both corners being filled in so a purpose built away end housing 2.5k in the corner between Mayflower and Devonport could work. The only issue would be FA cup games where you have to give 20% allocation I believe.

Do you go to away grounds?
The fanzone at Elland Road was abysmal; Derby is a nightmare to get away from; Wednesday’s facilities are from the 70s;
stewards at Stoke are jobsworths and unfriendly.
From what I’ve seen the fanzone zones at Argyle are welcoming, spacious, entertaining and with a choice of food.
Away fans are virtually all complimentary about their experiences at Home Park
I do not generally go to away games for personal reasons. When I attend HP I catch the coach at about 12.15pm for an afternoon game and get home at around 6.30 pm and it is similar length of time for evening games. We arrive at the game in plenty of time but for the older generation ,some with health issues , not many want to drink alcohol or eat overpriced food. The ongoing issues with the coach not knowing where to park has not helped to improve the experience. At the end of the game the Lyndhurst stand is the last to empty and to descend the steps without handrails is a challenge for some especially when the coach is waiting. Hardly “an exceptional match day experience “for some.

Almost every away ground I go to the away stand seems to be the opposite end of the stadium to the main access point (invariably we are asked to walk right around the ground). I dont see why the away section should not be what is now zoo corner.

I think that in the short term (and also in the long term due to the ongoing impact it could have), the most significant new nugget of information is that the existing shareholders are going to make money available in January even if the new investor is not formally on board by then. I guess the point is that the current shareholders don't have money that they are willing to 'lose' into the Argyle pot but do have (access to) money that they can make available on a temporary basis on the understanding that they will be re-payed from the money that the new investor(s) put in. This is great news (albeit we don't know how much money is being talked about) as it would be crazy if a new investor was finally ratified and able to release funds to the club too late for some of it to be put to immediate use to strengthen the squad to try to ensure Championship survival.

I think this is great news for us, can anyone explain why investors who have gone through a number of hoops over many months and paid significant costs to the legal brigade would pull out now at the twelfth hour, I can't, so all things being equal our future as a club is very bright, we could obviously do with a few players back like Cissoko sooner rather than later to give us a boost on the pitch. A win on Saturday would mean so much more than 3 points in the scheme of things. Come on Argyle let's do this,
Pete

Urgency?

Let's hope it instills some!

Can't afford to have another slow start this weekend.
I agree, but I cant help in my own mind thinking the pressure is off slightly if we know the cavalry is arriving, just hope the squad dont feel that. Put it this way I wont quite be in the increasingly hopeless despair if we lose to Oxford I would have been had it not been for this weeks events

I think it was West Brom when we walked to the main stadium frontage only to be told to walk about half a mile back the way we came, go down some side street and then up a little path to the away section. No signs anywhere and a good 15 minute walk.

Yes West Brom sticks in my mind too. It would be like making away fans at Home Park go down to Barn Park via the clock tower and back up past the ponds! I managed to sweet talk my way through a gate into away section before the match because it was about to kick off (motorway gridlock) but had to walk the long way around back to the car...

West Brom away end and how you leave the stadium is one of the silliest things i ever done at an away ground. You will walk 15 minutes away from the ground only to then have to double back because you have parked your car elsewhere. Its stupid and the funny thing is you walk smack into West Brom fans leaving the ground as well . So its not even about safety

That exit is bonkers. Last game we got lost and ended up taking half an hour to get to the car in driving rain. It’s ridiculous
