Hi all, guest speaker for this Thursday's Senior Greens meeting is the gaffer Steven Schumacher - who will be at the wheel. Doors open at 12-30pm, food is always available to purchase, pasties, chips, filled rolls, plus tea/coffee. Please note the meeting will start at 2-15 just for this month. New members always welcome to join - age no barrier.

The Q & A was terminated early due to a medical emergency. Great credit to the gaffer for being alert to it and getting the Argyle medical team in quickly. Hopefully, Ken Beale can do an update in due course.

Schuey was on great form and displayed his familiar humility in front of a packed house. Was late because he was supervising an extra session in preparation for the Donny game. Reported everyone was fit.

Wanted the job and said his most difficult call was to Ryan Lowe to say he was staying at the club. Well aware of the defensive issues and the consequences of not winning the first or more importantly the second ball. Said we were 5th best in the League at defending set pieces. Was optimistic of a signing before the window closes and expressed his disappointment at missing out on a target (presumably Kelly). Not much more to add that hasn't been said in his pre-match interviews

Said he's hoping to bring in at least one player before deadline and that one that he had expected to complete had fallen through in the last few days (presumably referring to Georgie Kelly.)
He won't detract from 3-5-2 or 5-3-2 and playing it out from the back - so no lumping it up to a big C/F and trying to play off him as stats show it is less successful in retaining possession than playing through the thirds.
He's not too concerned about the defensive 'blip' of late - as we had kept three consecutive clean sheets prior to the Sheffield Wednesday game.
New coaches have settled in well and players do appreciate and relate to a coach whom has only recently given up playing.
He says he is thoroughly enjoying being the Manager and says it was an easy decision to accept the role when he was offered it (says the hardest part was calling Ryan Lowe the following day and telling him he won't be following him as his no. 2),
The injured players ( Hardie, Mayor, Houghton and Gillesphey) had trained that morning with no issues and provided they suffer no reaction on Friday, (today) are expected to be included in the squad for Donny.

Hi all yes Chairman Alex is feeling a lot better now, he said his knee was the problem it just gave out hence the fall, the good thing was the Gaffer got the medical staff to attend quickly, and he stayed right up until Alex was up and about, it just shows what a great caring manager we have.

Glad he is okay. I've always thought he would be more comfortable sitting facing the stage. Easier for me to see him when I overrun😁
