Plymouth/London
I would have thought he could do a lot better, Hearts may be a biggish club but Scottish football isn't particularly attractive beneath Celtic and Rangers.

Hearts rock bottom of SPL

SPL is always a 2 horse race

Maybe Schuey is dreaming of getting into the Europa Conference League :D

Just passing on what i'm told by someone who lives in Edinburgh. Related to their investment from Brighton's owner and change of club philosophy.

What makes you say no chance?

From the very little I can ascertain.

He wasn't expecting to be sacked and has said his plan is to take some time out and assess his options, he has financial security and he has a degree he could pursue so it might not involve football. Also note Mark Hughes has gone back into playing albeit on a non contract basis

He's only just moved his family back to Ormskirk, I'd be mightily surprised if he took a job that wasn't within a reasonable commute. Remember when he came to Plymouth he brought his family with him.

Of course the longer a manager stays out the harder it is to get back in so he could take the Cardiff job but I think his preference would be to stay in the North West.

Maybe he will want to sit on the EFL settee & be a pundit for all the live games SKY show
For all we know he could be lined up with RL in the not to distant future :ROFLMAO:

I wouldn't rule it out.

There is categorically no chance that a league-winning manager who has lost his job in hilarious but bizzare decision-making will go back to being the #2 of another sacked manager.

I'd be surprised if SS went to Cardiff. They're another basket case and his next job is probably the most important one of his entire career, he needs a bit of normalcy and a solid foundation to build on.

He could be at Everton fairly soon if they keep doing what they are doing!

I didn't say that he would did I?? I was responding to the suggestion he might become a pundit. He's got a degree in Sports Broadcasting after all.

I very much suspect he'll be keeping his options open, he's relocated now so I can't see him taking a job outside the North West

It's fun to pop over to the Oaties forum now and again. It's like EastEnders on repeat, the pain never ends! Imagine if John Coates onwned the Queen Vic, there'd be a new landlord every month 😐

I enjoy it too. I take two things from today's visit. First, the brilliant nickname one poster gave their new Head Coach - 'Poundland Pep'. Also, looking at the criticism of Johannsen, who I would have welcomed here, it seems Grimshaw has proved a better bet.
