Played 82 minutes for the Gills 2-0 defeat against Wimbledon. He will certainly get game time this season.

Could get an early recall if Miller's injury is significant.

Mumbaā€™s inclusion was at the expense of Mickel Miller, who missed out through injury.
An injury that may delay his debut for quite some time, according to Schumacher.

ā€œHe got injured yesterday in training,ā€ said the manager. ā€œIt doesnā€™t look a good one. Heā€™s been for a scan straight away, itā€™s a thigh strain. Iā€™m gutted for us, because heā€™s been brilliant in pre-season, heā€™s been a bright spark. But it looks like he could be out for a considerable amount of weeks. Heā€™ll go to see the specialist on Monday.

Oh FFS thatā€™s bad luck.

You really couldnā€™t make it up.

If itā€™s a bad one it could be up to 6 months for a full recovery

Can't recall until Jan at the earliest.

Settling in well with the Gills. Another game under his belt today and a Gills friend said; "Assured and made a couple of decent slide tackles.Think heā€™ll do well for us"

For me itā€™s regrettable he moved, have always viewed him as our first or second choice wingback (alternating with Conor Grant), not the fourth choice that he had seemed to become with us.
Schuey was talking the other day about possibly needing to play Endacott, well doesnā€™t that indicate we should have kept Lawsy?!

If only managers had crystal balls. I'm a fan of Law, but was also glad that he could get regular league experience at Gillingham. Hopefully he'll grow in stature and return a bigger asset in the New Year.

Its great for him to be playing regularly as first choice, will do his confidence no end of good and much better for his career than being the third choice at Argyle, where he is relying on injuries to make an appearance.

Conor Grant is a much better player than Law.

Are we going to say we shouldnā€™t have let him go whenever he gets game time at Gillingham? Isnā€™t that the exact reason we loaned him out? To get game time?

I think this loan is great for Law. He's been around Argyle for a long time now, with some good moments but never quite making a place his own. Consequently he's never got enough regular minutes and, without a reserve team, he doesn't play enough football here. He's 23 next month and needs to play.

A regular place at Gillingham would give him experience and confidence. If he proves himself at that level then he will know that, if it doesn't work out at Argyle, he can get a job in L2.

There's more than that though. He will mature as a person. Taking him out of his comfort zone and all he knows, living away from everything that is familiar, will be a challenge. He has to establish himself in a new dressing room, make new friends, experience a new location, cope with things when they don't quite go right. If he can do all that then he will return a different man, and probably a more rounded player too.

We could have kept Randell instead of loaning him to Torquay, but there is no way hanging around as 6th choice centre mid would have been as good for him as 40+ games in non-league and being treated like a senior player (with all the pressure that comes with it).
A full season in League Two will be much better for Ryan Law than being in Plymouth and considered a background cover player.
Fans forget just how old Ryan Law is now - he is not far off 23, older than Randell, Jephcott and Cooper.
Law needs to take this opportunity, go and show he can stand out at League Two level and come back full of confidence looking to start in the Argyle side next season.
