Even Baidoo looked good on a highlights reel!

Wasn't really a dig at him though (hope he is a success for us), more at the way modern football plays right footers on the left and vice versa, has never made much sense to me.
Nothing new under the sun - Always liked Martin Phillips playing on the right

Something that this Argyle team has lacked this season is personality and character. Tolaj has it in spades but we don’t have enough players who like to play on the edge. Curtis appears to be the type of personality who isn’t afraid to mix things up and for the want of a better phrase, to be a bit of a sh*thouse! I feel we’ve been too nice as a team this season. No doubt DA recognises this and this signing is evidence of that.
My impressions of Curtis whenever we went up against him was that he had more confidence than his ability afforded. I was always concerned by him though as he is definitely a player who has moments in him.

His stats against us are really good (IIRC he was the one who took the ball from Kelland Watts to rescue a last minute draw) which given our games against them during his time there were generally big and high profile for the level suggests he's thrives under pressure.

Funnily enough a similar line from a Pompey mate:

‘Not bad but was never popular with fans. Thought he was better than he was, I think’

I think at this level, a solid signing.

I think an ACL would still impact on the body, but his game wasn’t about pace.

Watching Argyle currently, how many times do we see bad passes? How many poor final crosses into the box?

Argyle have missed an outlet on that left hand side since Bali’s poor form. If we are keeping Dale on loan too, that gives us natural width in those positions. Suddenly, you aren’t putting Sorinola in this positions to do a job.

This was the type of signing l expected in the summer. Experience, a gamble because of injuries, but has proven he can play at this level.

I’d like to see Mumba given a go now on the right side. That’s obviously if he stays.

On what grounds do you say this, Cobi. I reckon his record suggest otherwise.
He got Vale promoted last year, and Wednesday from L1 3 years ago. Before that, he got West Brom into the Championship play off spot before being sacked.
Sometimes circumstances such as injuries demand that managers feel the best option is to play players out of position.
I agree.

The main criticism of the summer was that we didn’t bring in enough players suited to the division. So I do find it strange that there are people moaning that we’ve now brought in a player with over 200 appearances at this level + over 40 goals.
Cobi, you posted this on page 5 and there hadn't been one negative opinion on him. Even Oldage, the most pessimist of pessimists, says it's an excellent signing. We're now on page 9 and there's only been the one negative comment so I think you'll find the fans are happy with this signing.

There was a lot of negativity when he was first rumoured. People tend to get on board more when a player is confirmed. For me, this is the profile of player we should have been looking at in the summer, glad that lessons are being learnt. Fair play to Derek.

We need width, especially left midfield position.

I don’t think anybody thinks he is a world beater. Most of us have seen him play against us. He was hard working and you look at our current output this season in that area and we are struggling. We wanted experience, especially someone who has played at this level.

I can’t see why anyone wouldn’t be pleased. He isn’t going to get pulses racing but what he brings is an improvement to our squad in an area we serverly lacked.

That is my memory as well, you always had to be concerned about him because he was always involved but his conversion rate of passes and chances didn't match the window dressing...also he was a colossal wind up merchant. Wonder if he still has about him, sounds like it from the interview. If selected the Exeter game will be interesting if he goes full pantomime villain.
