RIP Eric Lane - 83rd minute applause

My uncle Eric Lane from Launceston passed away on Monday aged 83 after a long illness. He was a life long Argyle fan since 1947. His youngest daughter Anna managed to get him in his wheelchair to Home Park one last time on Saturday, to watch us beat Barnsley, which he really enjoyed.
It would be great to get a minute’s applause going in the 83rd minute for our game on Saturday against Peterborough. His wife Liz and 3 daughters would be touched by this.

Very sorry to hear this news.

I worked at the DWP (DHSS as it was then) offices in Launceston from the mid 1980’s, at the same time as Eric.

He really was Argyle through and through. I remember him regularly going around the office selling the lottery tickets.

I’m glad to hear that he got to HP one last time this season and I will certainly join in the minutes applause on Saturday.
