I knew Crofty well from school days in Newquay. He was a lifelong Green and always made the effort to get to a few home matches despite being wheel chair bound after a horrible swimming accident in the early eightees (I think). At that time he was a very good martial artist and young chef. After his accident he continued to live a great social life and always presented a very positive attitude with a wicked sense of humour. He was a wonderful advocate for disabled / accessibility rights which he pursued with tremendous enthusiasm and purpose.
