He has been outstanding. I have noticed though that when he has provided the assist (Oxford and yesterday), he doesn't join in with the celebrations. He stands at the spot where he hit the ball and celebrates by himself, letting everyone know he supplied the cross while the rest of the team hug each other. Most probably nothing. He really is quality and the sort of player we should be aiming at in this league.
Good for him. I find the preordained ubiquitous pan-football 'all run to a corner for the scorers signature TikTok move, then a group snog, then slowly amble back to your own half laughing and joking with one hand over your mouth the other doing a fist pump hand slap funny handshake' thing tedious beyond belief.
Worse still with VAR... when it' given... they 'kin go and do it all over again
Not saying it should just be an emotionless firm handshake, but there's absolutely nothing spontaneous about goal celebrations anymore. Where they go, what they do, the inordinate amount of time it all takes, it's all orchestrated.
