While our attention is upon seeing if IF has been put out of his misery, just a quick note to mention that the prostate cancer screening held recently at HP indicated some ten per cent of those screened require further assessment and, possibly, treatment. Well done PASOTI for helping to publicise this testing.
Fellas please note… GET YOURSELF TESTED if you are in the relevant age bracket. Prostate cancer kills but it does not need to kill so many.

I was one of the Amber results and need to take a follow-up test. I’m relatively young (42) but my father had Prostate Cancer so thought I should get tested.

Even if the follow-up test comes back as not needing any further treatment, it was worth doing for awareness and something to keep an eye on in the future.

Hope your follow up test comes back fine

Well run and very friendly staff
I would urge anyone to book if given the opportunity. That’s seems a high percentage so fingers crossed it’s just more a detailed test required and a cautious approach.

So 6 weeks ago I went through a prostatectomy (Sunderland game) after this PSA testing highlited an issue which was diagnosed as the big C.
Today I was given the all clear cancer wise👏👏.
This simple test back in April has saved me some pain in the future or even worse (just look at poor old Chris Hoy🥺🤦).
For everyone over 50 go and get this simple test done regularly, it probably saved my life in the future.

Well done PAFC and the organisors👏👏

Now Gaffer get this team going again

Having recently being diagnosed with early stage prostate cancer I urge everyone to have a regular psa blood test. I had no symptoms and would have been carrying on oblivious if it wasn’t for a simple test.
Good luck mate. 👍
