I didn't - hindsight is an easy counter to fall back on.

It's frustrating because we played by far the better football and could have seen that game out if we'd stayed on the front foot. But three changes in quick succession disrupted our rhythm and we suddenly looked a lot less assured in possession.

I do agree with you about feeling more positive than negative, though. We're a side transformed from last season.
By far the better football?
Not sure about that.
We played a different kind of equally effective football. But in that second half both sides made excellent chances.
Pompey will be wondering how Marquis missed that chance, how it wasn't a penalty and how Galloway came up with that bit of unbelievable defending
We'll be wondering how the push on Jephcott wasn't a pen and why Jephcott didn't hit it first time when Camara jinked around a few players and laid it on for him.

We should be by far the happier of the two teams with a point, regardless of the timing of their equaliser

Three consecutive 2 all games with Pompey I think.

Hope Scarr's knock isn't serious.

Despite conceding two, thought our back three were very good. Camara becoming a marked man - literally tonight 1st half, but two assists a perfect response.

Felt Grant was targeted effectively by Pompey, but, despite the early yellow he put in a shift. Hardie - not sure about the bandage attire - but really answering those who doubted him last season.

Pompey used physicality to have better of the first half. A draw is not a disaster in my view.
Spot on. Could have sorted the left side earlier. Fair result with contrasting styles . Bruising encounter and would have liked to see gillesphey on but can‘t fault management team this season 👍

Very proud of the boys
Portsmouth set their stall out early with their extreme targeting & roughing up of Pan- they probably thought we would be a pussycat for the entire 90 minutes & bow down to them but we stuck at it & showed them in the 2nd half what we are about .
No fear & undid them twice via Pan & Hotdog- yes we were top of the league for 10 minutes but in the bigger picture we are a team to be feared
We are only 8 games in but we have a team of warriors that will be gutted how the game ended but it will drive them on to be better
Yes it feels like a loss but a point away from home is not to be sniffed at & we are still unbeaten in 7
This team is special & as RL says we wont get carried away we move on to the next game - after all the league is not won in September
Our next 2 home games against Donny & Crewe who are both struggling will be a gauge as to whether we can beat teams that are below us in the league

I really hope Lowe has already been working on it. Or at least, I hope, that the club included an automatic extension until May in the original contract
RL and his fitness gurus will know but, considering the fact that Galloway has come through 2 tough games in 4 days without being subbed, it appears that his fitness problems are behind him.
Unless they know something that we don’t, sign him on a 2 year contract asap. A class act.

We went in at half time, 1-0 down. The game was competitive. Yet we didn’t quite get our foot in the game.

Second half we created and scored. We looked brighter on the ball. When it was around 70th minute they looked dangerous at 1-1. Then we came back into it. Then we scored. Then they fought back. It was that kind of second half.

It is gutting to concede no doubt. The bigger picture is though we had a go and took something out of the game.

l wouldn’t look at league tables yet. In 12 games time things will settle down. Let’s see where we are then. By the 20th game we will have a better sample of where exactly we are.

These first 8 games though we aren’t such a soft touch.

These last minute goals just happen in football, I don’t think there’s anything or anyone necessarily to blame.

You see it all the time at the top level, how many times do commentators say the losing team ‘will get one chance’ and they always do. When one team is pushing everyone forward and hammering the penalty area, it’s inevitable.

Next time we’ll keep it out (y)
Yep. Don’t forget that we got one deep into injury time against Wednesday.

2-2 is a good scoreline for a team with only 38% possession. Just imagine what we could do with higher possession? (Hopefully convert more of those 8 on-target shots)

Interestingly we’ve had less possession than our opponents in our last three games. We definitely seem to be taking more of a quality over quantity approach to possession this season.

I love how much fight this Argyle squad has.

Disappointing that we got suckered at the end (again) but take massive positives from the fact that we turned the game around from 1-0 down after a difficult first half.

Overall, a draw probably fair - both sides had a good amount of chances. Terrific 2nd half, very open game.

Ryan Hardie, take a bow. Three top class finishes in a row. Looking the real deal this season. Huge silver lining to Ennis’ injury.

Talent throughout the team, from back to front. Everyone is putting in a shift, game after game. Hope we can keep it up. “

Lol people complaining about us taking a point away from home. We would have lost that game easily last season. This season we have a backbone and we have firepower. No point going top of the league after 8 games, is there? We are looking to be a very good team and being in fourth place is a good place to be.
Be happy where we are, we are in a much better place then last year

Genuinely forgot about Ennis.

With him Mayor, Cooper, Bolton and Agard on the bench we have strength in depth too.

We have a real chance this season.

Very exciting to think we still have Ennis to come back into the mix, he was looking comfortably our best forward prior to his injury, but Hardie & Jephcott have really stepped up, and with Agard in the mix also, that’s great competition for places in forward areas, particularly considering only a few weeks ago people were talking about a striker crisis.

We were rattled first half and suffered a disappointing blow with a soft free kick. Initially Houghton wasn't controlling in his usual manner and Camara was being kicked off the park. If only we could regain our normal composure and guile.

Immediately after the break we looked like the team seen in recent weeks; an equalizer seemed certain.

Looking good from my perspective.
