I appreciate some will say “let’s take it one game at a time” so this might not be the thread for you but my guess is this.
  • Exeter - win
  • Wimbledon - draw
  • Bradford - lose
  • Port Vale - win (I could also see this being the “joker” game that we actually draw, when on paper we should hammer them)
  • Northampton - win

Depends which form of Argyle turns up
Every game is a potential banana skin - the teams at the bottom could be relegated but the players of those teams could be playing for contracts & interests from other clubs
To be complacent about the opponent could be our undoing
5 tough games coming up we just need to scrap for 450+ minutes to get the outcome we want

Which Argyle turns up? Hopefully the same one that has been unbelievably consistent since the start of 2026, arguably since the beginning of December.
Why would we be complacent? This isn't Sunday league football. They know what they're doing.

Clubs below us in the league that are struggling know how to get one over on us - by parking the bus & being niggly so that we get frustrated & give them a let in so that they score & then close up shop

Rotherham away being an example - the 5 opponents we have left are not going to roll out the red carpet

With so many clubs in the mix for 6th spot now including Luton, for me we need 4 wins and a draw- which I'm taking at Bradford. We've got to aim at all wins to make sure, can we do it?
Each of our final games has banana skin all over it, starting with Saturday

Exactly - we have been good match after match - Rotherham and Luton games probably only significant drop off in form in 3 months. We lost to Bolton because Schumacher has a good team and tactically did a number on us.

Doesn't make any sense at all. Why would we expect teams to roll out a red carpet?
Teams will set up their stall to not get beat or to win. We'll set up our stall to get the 3 points. That's football.

I'd say we lost to Bolton because of 2 moments of stupidity. We weren't good enough against their 10 men 2nd half but we still created enough to win that game. Bolton got very lucky that day.

I have to say it. 1 game at a time.
I am nervous about exeter at home though. The easy expected games are the ones we struggle with.
Are they? The games we have lost at home this year have been to Bolton and Lincoln we have beaten everyone else. Seems to me Rotherham aside that we ate good at beating the poorer teams and struggle more as one would expect with the top teams

I wouldn’t say very lucky - we may have had marginally better chances but not the number we have been creating recently
