Apologies, replied to the wrong set of photos. These are absolutely amazing, look how well everyone is dressed, not a shell suit of pair of leggings in sight. Being an old Mod, I really appreciate how smart and dapper (both men and women) were. I'm guessing, mid 60's? Does anyone know who is responsible for that abomination of an iron "statue", with it's derriere protruding out, on Royal Parade, I seen recently on a YouTube video? What a waste of money. It is an affront to decency and looks totally hideous. Stick to what is best - clean, working fountains, no litter or graffiti and lots of flower beds, and not trying to be clever and arty with crude "statues".

Bernie Bernbaum, I am curious as to why you gave me a thumbs down, twice. Do you not agree that I thought these photos were amazing? I accidently replied to the wrong set of photos? My compliments on how well people in that 60's photo were dressed? I think shell suits and leggings are hideous? I am an old Mod? I called that excuse for a statue, crude and an abomination and a waste of money? I think the way to enhance any city centre, is with lots of clean, working fountains, flower beds and to be litter and graffiti free? Your train of thought and what offends you, intrigues me, as methinks, there is something about the cut of my jib, you do not like?

I think you're a troll, Salisbury67.
No Quinny, I am not a troll. I was just curious as to why Bernie Bernbaum gave me a thumbs down twice, especially as I did not say anything controversial. I happen to believe that statue in Royal Parade is crude and not befitting a main thoroughfare in any city (as do my two girls), but that is not controversial. My previous postings, these past couple of years, since I joined PASOTI, prove that I am not a troll.

On reflection, my addled old brain thinks it was in paradise Road.
Apologies if this has been replied to elsewhere but I’m just trawling through these old pics but I vividly recall a plane embedded in the front of an old building in Paradise road, it may have been an old school and I think it was more or less opposite the entrance to Tamar school
