You should be able to get a Now TV Sports day pass for a tenner if you haven't got Sky. I've got the month's pass & the quality is good.

Do you need a smart TV for that?

I think people start to over think this game when it is simply us playing a team who is 2 points ahead of us when we have a game in hand..Chill peeps 2-1 to the mighty greens. :scarf: :scarf:

You are right on one account and we will see on the other.

Irritates me the way Pompey fans are in denial about the rivalry that existed between the dockyards. To listen to them you wouldn’t think thousands of yardies used to spend significant amounts of time working in the opposing team’s back(dock) yard.
Their arrogance was bad enough back in the day, but has got even worse since we renewed our rivalry with them over the past few seasons.
For my generation of fans, Exeter are a lower league team, not much bigger than Yeovil, who we only ever played in the Devon Bowl.... The rivalry with Pompey and the Bristol clubs were the ones that mattered.

I've got a smart TV with Now TV app on.

However, if you don't have a smart TV you could download NOW TV onto your laptop/computer & watch it on that. If your TV/laptop have HDMI ports you could connect HDMI lead from laptop to computer & select HDMI port on you TV input & watch it on TV. I use this metod when watching Argyle in ifollow, I also connect an ethernet cable from laptop to router which cuts out any wireless interference caused by son/daughter upstairs burning the GBs on their laptops.

Besides the new concept of the dockside derby, was interested to hear Lowe's reference to the Exeter debacle last season.

If only we could be there, would be an electric atmosphere under the lights.

A win puts us in a great position, I think both sides would settle for a draw though.

I'm with bringonthemilkman here. This "derby" has always meant more to us than them. That's understandable. They've achieved a lot more on the pitch than we have over the years, including many years in the top division and winning the FA Cup. It's a bit like us and Exeter.

When I grew up they used to have the Royal Tournament on the TV and Portsmouth, Devonport and Fleet Air Arm competed to dismantle, move and re-assemble an old-fashioned gun - don't ask. That was much more equal a contest.

I've bought into my father's envy of Pompey's greater success on the football field and for me this is the big home match of the year.

Come on you Greens! Remember Pete Hartley!!!

Notice that the odds on an Argyle win are slightly shortening but Pompey are still strong favourites.

Argyle now 9/4 or 23/10, while Pompey are 11/10 or 6/5.

Any one having a small onterest on any market? Argyle to win are generally 11/1 1-0; 16/1 2-0; 10/1 2-1; 33/1 3-0.
First goalscorers are 16/1 Mayor (penalty taker); 18/1 Grant (free kick specialist) or 22/1 Camara (recently shoot on sight).

Do people actually enjoy betting on Argyle games, or does it just add to the pressure of watching and hoping?
