That's quite a left-field suggestion. He's English (north-east, came up through Newcastle Academy) so there's no issue with him joining a club in this country. 3 seasons experience at Carlisle and then 2 years at Brisbane Roar. Signed for BR in 2019 by Robbie Fowler who has now left the club. Doesn't seem to be an obvious signing for a League 1 team.

Monthe would be a great signing. Imagine Songo'o but taller. Very physical and powerful defender.

I am working on assumption we will play 3 CBs next season. As Lowe says he is optimistic of bringing another one in soon, we will have three.

That leaves us short of cover especially as Wilson had injury issues last season. With only Tomlinson so perhaps a 4th CB will join on loan?

He did mention having one or two triallists so I imagine at least one will be a young CB as cover.
