In which case there isn’t one. I agree Whittaker was without doubt player of the season under Schumacher but his form this year has dropped off same as Hardie. I don’t blame either player but in my mind ,player of the season is the player who has performed consistently throughout the season and I cannot think of one mainly due to the circumstances we have found ourselves in.

Surely player of the season means who has made the biggest positive impact on our season? On that basis it can only be MW.

Yes, his form like the whole team's has dropped off latterly but it is blatant 'recency bias' to therefore ignore what went before. If it had been the other way around and he'd started slowly then burst into life and was now banging them in like earlier I doubt anybody else would muster more than a handful of votes. It's not like anyone else suddenly started pulling up trees is it? Gibson has been steady throughout .... but other than that?
