Now that I'm here, interested in your views of players who have graced both Home Park and Fir Park. A few of these I recall because they're fresh, a few a Google search confirmed. We got a few from you and a few after, I'll share my recollections:
Carl McHugh: Midfield battler, captain for a bit, scored a great volley vs Hearts in the Scottish Cup. Got a concussion injury and then returned to get another almost immediately, left us for India I think.
Peter Hartley: Exactly the type of player we needed to bark orders to a inexperienced defence. His arrival video went viral after emulating Man United's at the time ending up on BBC news bulletins. Left for India. Now at St Mirren as head of development and got a bit salty towards us over on Twitter.
Lionel Ainsworth: Only scored 25 yard top bin screamers, often drifted in and out of games, some anonymous. During an international break his greatest hits showreel is wheeled out for nostalgia purposes.
Keith Lasley: Housewives favourite, club captain for years, hung up his boots and now Chief Executive at St Mirren
Aaron Taylor-Sinclair: Showed nothing and appeared to be made of glass, most happy when we loaned him out after six months to Crewe. Released and moved to Livingston and was kept out of that team by a lot of dross. Most recently Airdrie manager, resigned after failing to keep them in our second tier.
Nadir Çiftçi: Was not the player that Dundee United or Celtic had which we hoped he would be
Alan Gow: Memory is vague on Alan, not going to lie.
Jim Paterson: "Stepover" Mark McGhee took over for us in the late 2000's and ran the team regged at pre-season, Jim rocked up about two stone lighter. Now part of our youth academy coaches.
Lukas Jutkiewicz: On loan from Everton, scored an amazing equalising goal in a 6-6 thriller that is still shown by Sky Sports as the best game in our league's history. Went to Birmingham and was there until he retired a couple of years ago.
