Kelly's landing in Ottawa, my favourite outdoor patio in Ottawa.
The river behind me is the Rideau River going from Ottawa to Kingston, it was the joining of the Rideau River and the Cataraquie River, it is known as the Rideau Canal it was designed and built under the command of Colonel John By a Englishmen who has a connection to Plymouth

The unique feature of this river/canal is that it flows both north and south, from the Newboro Locks which is about halfway along the system, at the top of the locks the water flows north to Ottawa, from the south of the locks the water flows south to Kingston. When the water reaches Ottawa it flows into the Ottawa River, when it reaches Kingston it flows into the St. Lawrence Seaway.
