Sigh... where to start?Unlike yourself, I find it ludicrous to cancel a match on the strength (or really the weakness) of a weather forecast.
You have to wait until the morning of the event to make a decision, if it’s purely about the weather.
Seems to me it’s a financial decision more than anything else, because the weather forecast will have made so many change their mind about coming, therefore they call the match off.
We are becoming a society that allows itself to be too easily scared about almost anything and everything, and it’s not healthy.
Exactly.Local advice - don't travel unless absolutely necessary. Since when has a football game been absolutely necessary?
Emergency phone alarms have just gone off in house because of the warnings. Very sensible decision by all involved. Well done to the SAG.
Top post, fake outrage is everywhereWhy is everyone so embarrassed by practically anything and everything these days. A game of football is called off and you are embarrassed? Really? Seemingly every thread someone is embarrassed by something, be it the kit, the pasties, the Janner song, the list is endless. Since when did everyone's embarrassment threshold drop so low. I could think of many words to think of to describe the decision; sensible, overcautious, annoying, inconvenient, disappointing, expected etc, certainty not embarrassing. Rant Over.
Just for clarity , the EFL ( as the competition organisers) are the ones who agree to the postponement in these circumstances , having taken the advice of the local Safety Advisory Group.Well, the FA have the ability to find a club and allocate the theee points for a game postponed without their permission.
Sorry - been busy today and only just seen this. I reckon it'll be windy and the game won't happenWhilst I suspect it may be breaking an unwritten Pasoti rule to post on things you actually are an expert on , I am waiting for the latest update from The Doctor and what he thinks is happening. No pressure Doctor.

Yes, great weather for travellingi hope our manager is on his way to the luton match tomorrow for a first hand appraisal of our opponents on tuesday.
Potentially out of a job if defeats are heavy...?The only reason I’d have like this game m
this was very much my thoughts too.
I saw the Oxford game as the most winnable. We could conceivably lose the next 3 now , where would that leave Rooney ?
it's easy driving in this weather and i have done so on countless occasions and so have countless other people.this is a positive he can take by seeing our next opponents play and delivering his insight to our players when he has a tactical meeting.Yes, great weather for travelling
