Emergency phone alarms have just gone off in house because of the warnings. Very sensible decision by all involved. Well done to the SAG.

Unlike yourself, I find it ludicrous to cancel a match on the strength (or really the weakness) of a weather forecast.
You have to wait until the morning of the event to make a decision, if it’s purely about the weather.
Seems to me it’s a financial decision more than anything else, because the weather forecast will have made so many change their mind about coming, therefore they call the match off.
We are becoming a society that allows itself to be too easily scared about almost anything and everything, and it’s not healthy.
Sigh... where to start?

Local advice - don't travel unless absolutely necessary. Since when has a football game been absolutely necessary?
Exactly.
It's just now these people find outrage in absolutely anything. Anything can now be a sign of some sort of decay in society.
Football club makes fairly sensible decision to postpone a match on the basis that an amber warning exists (flying debris and falling trees could result in a danger to life/damage to buildings and homes is possible, with roofs blown off and power lines brought down/roads, bridges and railway lines may close, with delays and cancellations to bus, train, ferry services and flights): "OH MY GOD ITS THE END OF SOCIETY, ITS SODOM AND GOMORRAH, WE'VE LOST OUR WAY, OUTRAGE OUTRAGE OUTRAGE".
So triggered by the postponement of a football game. Odd. Probably more that people are in a p1zzy because the football is off and they have to think of something else to do. Very babyish reaction.
Probably the same people who would kick up merry hell if they went out in the snow and broke down and it took a while to rescue them: "WHy WuzzUn oi warned not to go out in fufteen fut oV SNoooow. Summon sHud oV warned Uzz innum".

Why is everyone so embarrassed by practically anything and everything these days. A game of football is called off and you are embarrassed? Really? Seemingly every thread someone is embarrassed by something, be it the kit, the pasties, the Janner song, the list is endless. Since when did everyone's embarrassment threshold drop so low. I could think of many words to think of to describe the decision; sensible, overcautious, annoying, inconvenient, disappointing, expected etc, certainty not embarrassing. Rant Over.
Top post, fake outrage is everywhere 🙄
