Off at a slight tangent - thought Garrick looked completely lost when he came on for Edwards. Didn’t seem to understand the role at all. Started getting instructions from Wilson in the end. Maybe lacking match practice but didn’t seem to know whether to sit back or press forward. Needs to be up to speed if Edwards injury keeps him out. Gillesphey on this side (not ideal) might be better option ?

Randell might be better alternative RWB. Garrick looks like an out and out winger who, I agree, doesn't look comfortable with the defensive side of RWB. Can't see him playing upfront either, unless on the right of a 3 man attack.

You could be right about Randell; I think he proved, at Torquay, that he can send in a decent cross from the right and, in fact, he sent in a great cross for Shirley’s goal recently.

Shef Wed was the first game I have gone home for, recognise may give me a rose tinted view..... I cautioned against assuming signings would be better just based on greater experience pre-season but thought our back three looked like a good unit. The display I saw from them reflected comments from others re previous games so am feeling confident about us being more solid defensively. I thought Galloway lunged in a couple of times which could have gone wrong but otherwise looked OK. To be fair to the other two I think all three looked mobile so really encouraging early signs. We brought the ball out of defence so much better than last season.

I thought Garrick looked lost too. Young player and a difficult situation to come on as defending was more of a premium. Thought Randell would have been a better choice given the position of the match but I guess the idea was to give Garrick some game time.

Lucky choice for my first visit. Looking forward to the next one.

Scarr is getting is head to crosses in both boxes.

Galloway & Wilson look assured and composed.

And behind them Cooper is doing us proud.

Big test for these boys, upcoming this Saturday - Wimbledon are set piece specialists…

All four goals for the Dons ( at Morecombe) came via pieces….

I’m certainly more confident at set pieces both attacking and defending this season with our current defence.
