RIP Neil. Good player and very pleasant, approachable man too. Did he settle locally when he finished playing?
I think when he left Bournemouth he moved back to the Plymouth area, where I think he then had a building company.

As a player I always felt he had time, yet he was never quite the fastest on his feet, it demonstrated the control he possessed on the pitch. I am sorry to learn he has left the great departure lounge of life.

Very sad news, condolences to his family.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong but back in November 1971, I seem to remember that he not only played against Argyle for Rotherham as a Substitute on the Saturday, but he actually scored a late winner for them in a 4-3 game. He then signed for Argyle on the Monday.

A very reliable player who was comfortable on the ball but perhaps lacked a yard of pace, which is probably why he played for Argyle in the old 3rd Division rather than at a higher level.
