One things for sure, I will be hoping that Oxford, Charlton or Pompey join Sheff Wed in relegation and not Leicester or West Brom. They'd be too strong for League One. Blackburn I cannot make my mind up about!

It will be interesting to see which players make a miraculous recovery from their season of injuries and manage to play the last 4 weeks or so unhindered. That'll be the ones who want away in the summer no doubt!.Just me being cynical, or them?.
Mumba (who last did something positive for us with that winning goal at Rotherham in our 1st Cship season) had a storming game at Doncaster in December because his folks were there...and I dare say, somebody from Huddersfield Town. So yes, I agree there could be a few who want to put themselves in the shop window.

I think he is talking about general behaviour and the conduct from one poster to another. How you can disagree but still be polite and respectful when addressing each other.

Calling someone a ‘numpty’ is one of the most politest of disparaging remarks.

So your post now becomes ironic, especially as the way you interact with people is exactly the type of behaviour he is getting at.
I think it's a very respectful site. Feel free to give examples you are not happy with but if you are controversial expect to get some 'feedback'

Didn’t he give you an example, and you just dismissed it.

It is a very respectful site, but lets be honest if you have an opinion that isn’t liked at times people question your personality, rather than the point.

To be fair to BG l find he can make some interesting observations too.
Most definitely with regards to BG. Sorry but I was referring to your quote of "if you have an opinion that isn't liked at times people question your personality rather than the point".Very apt and profound I thought, sadly especially on here!.

Probably didn't make it clear. I think over the next few weeks there might be some hype and excitement.

However, l don't see us as playoff material and l think we will see indifferent results over the next six weeks.

Im not suggesting wholesale changes but within the normal starters seeing Amerchi. Ibrahim, Oseni etc... get alot more minutes especially if/once we break 50 point barrier.
You are Sir Ender Monkey and I claim my £5😁😁

He, being me, merely posted that it was good to see two other posters, you Martyn & the other person (sorry, their name escapes me) sharing different perspectives? in a mature & balanced way.

I didn’t intend for it to become a thread within a thread. Bleddy hell.

I think that generally, most posts on Pasoti are respectful, (on the general forum at least. Maybe less so in ‘Opinions’ but you’d expect that.)

Maybe this comment itself will get another ‘Yawn’ comment or some such. Not overly bothered tbh, but I would emphasise again, the original post I referred to was pleasant & reaffirming to read.

Enjoy the sunshine.

No your comments are more than welcome.

I try to engage with people and think over the last 2 years on here l have done better at conversations with others who have a different opinion from me.

My trouble is that my opinion is based on what l see and feel and often the set of circumstances for that opinion has yet to happen. Like for example, our run for the playoffs this season. I never felt we had the squad to sustain the run that was required. It's not over yet, maybe we can still do it but that lm afraid is the sort of opinions l have that sometimes people don't like because it's a negative comment within a moment of positivity regarding recent results.

I picked up on you comment because unfortunately l think people often are dismissive and rude when they don't like alternative opinion. When someone like you highlights how people can positively engage and enjoy a conversation then it makes being on here more satisfying.

I have strong opinions, but doesn't mean l won't listen. l do think it takes nothing to be nice to someone but football makes us have there incredible passionate, intense emotions that are often difficult to suddenly find any rational.
