Negative attitudes

I know I'm bound to be in the minority, but I hate all the "always optimism no matter what" attitudes. Bothers me more than the negative. Not for one second saying people should be negative all the time, but just blindly always seeing positives when there are problems is stupid.
I am generally overly (unrealistically) optimistic and forgiving about Argyle but I really enjoy the critical viewpoints of some of the posters on PASOTI. I have even learned to laugh at some of the more provocative members (not mentioning any names) as the more I read them the more I enjoy the banter. Sometimes (usually after a defeat) things get emotional and heated which can be a bit tiresome when a couple of posters get into trading insults and/or one upmanship. It would indeed be boring without some of the contrasting viewpoints.

Pasoti, BBC news, an online national newspaper (particularly their comments section) and a bit of YouTube are my daily go-to(s). Keeps me informed and up to date with what I need/like to know.

With regard to Pasoti I like its vibrancy, the strong opinions, the well informed opinions, the moans, the cutting remarks, sarcasm and humour……. Keep it up!

As Forest Gump said "My Mama Always Said Life Was Like A Box Of Chocolates"
PASOTI is always a box of chocolates- the chocolates you like , the chocolates you don't like & the chocolates you don't mind
We all have opinions - some might say i always have a green tint to all of my postings - but when other posters reply to what i write i always take the rough with the smooth & always take it on the chin
When all is said & done we all share a common love (y)

I joined not to moan but to express my opinion and I for one in the first time in a long as a fan wanted to express what a great place we as a club are in and that all the negative things people are saying are bad for the club and the general fans

I wasnt trying to pick a fight you lot have done that all that need to be said is okay cool a new guy who wants to express his opinion welcome and thanks for signing up but if this it what I get for trying to get younger people on the forum to come forward the argyle fans reputation on other forums is warranted
You said in your first post that you expected some abuse? Then you left because you got some abuse?
This isn't 1967 sticking flowers into rifles is so not happening in 2022 .. man! 🥀🌷💐📿🎸

There always appear to be more activity on PASOTI when Argyle lose.
When Argyle win it is alot quieter.
But people are allowed to give their opinions.
If you don't agree with that opinion, that's fine.

The way I see it is that there are loads of negative posters on this web site, but when push comes to shove, we manage to get 12 season tickets funded for the less fortunate supporters, we manage to get academy funding, player sponsorship and loads of support for good causes. I can just about tolerate, with the help of the ignore facility, all the negativity for the bigger more positive picture.

I accept the views, opinions and beliefs on PASOTI knowing this:
Everyone is doing their best with their thinking that’s looks real to them.

as is the opposite

Well said.

To some, losing is their comfort zone I think.

They no doubt provide some ‘balance’, but when they venture beyond that through unnecessary insults, sideswipes and making debates personal, driving posters away in the process, they do more harm than good, imo.
