The club tweeted that he has been given extra time off following his wedding and for his foundation.

He would be another likely to have a release clause and someone who despite not starting well probably feels like he should be at a higher level.

Have high hopes for him this season, hopefully this is something pre-agreed and nothing more.
It would be rather frustrating if it was a case of not wanting to play in League 1, as with greater output we might not have been relegated! Would doubt that, we were in the relegation zone when he signed.
Whatever happens, we need players who are 'all in' so if any issues we would have to move on, the issue from our side is that it would be at a substantial loss.

To be fair he shared an Instagram video earlier of the work his foundation is doing in Ghana, so the clubs comment tracks.

But at the same time given how badly January - May went and with a new manager in situ, surely Baidoo should want to be hitting the ground running on day one of pre season? Maybe that’s harsh.

Maybe giving Baidoo time to work on his foundation, which is presumably very important to him, is a good way of helping a player who clearly didn't have the best of starts to his time at Argyle, and might well have had doubts about whether we are the right club for him now, to feel that he is valued and that remaining at Argyle is a good fit for him.

Or it might all be a smokescreen for an imminent move of course.
