Interesting comment about "a fair few more coming in".
We have all been talking about just a striker and a left winger. Where else are we likely to see incomings?

Something clearly wrong with the set up at HP. Medical team, pitches, physio, whatever it is, this can't bee a coincidence or bad luck

Although not 12 months you could probably add Tijani to the list .

At least 4 of them: ralls , watts, benarous and kane were predictable given their injury record and Amaechi ( thought it was an ankle in training ) doesn't have a great record .

Ralls was 15 minutes (?) into the game , watts 25ish when someone appeared to fall on the back of his leg , and kane at the end of the Bolton game - when admittedly we were chasing the game .

Edwards was done through overload .Finn , continued playing when he shouldn't.

With Baidoo , other than Watts maybe , he was probably always the player most likely to get that sort of injury. Limited game time under Muslic , played in a soft league ( like tijani) , missed the spain trip. Could it have been prevented , who knows , but it just seems a bit too predictable .

Quite agree. From memory & GOS, Johnny Newman, Johnny Williams, Tony Book et al were always there for the full 90 minutes when I went. Some played all 42 or so games in a season, and there were no subs.
I love Big Match Revisited on ITV, which confirms football back then was pretty full-on end-to-end stuff, which is as I remember it.
And 1960s/70s footballers had to contend with proper (hard but fair) tackling, progressively heavier footballs when wet, and incredibly muddy pitches (not just the Baseball Ground, Derby). They used to play on consecutive days over Christmas & Bank Holidays. For me, football today is not as enjoyable - but I'm still Argyle-hooked, poor sod!

Or earlier - Amaechi did his 4 weeks later last season and was back playing at 6 December .

Incredibly over the last 12 months we've had eight players injured with a hamstring injury alone.
There were varying degrees of seriousness from strain to severe but enough to miss games, the majority of the eight were severe and interestingly only one defender and no central strikers.

Tegan Finn. Severe.
Ayman Benarous.
Xavier Amaechi. Severe.
Joe Edwards.
Caleb Watts. Severe.
Herbie Kane. Severe.

Sorry not a rumour but I actually think baidoo getting injured is a blessing in disguise. Means we’ll get through transfer window with him injured and hopefully comes back eager to perform. I still don’t get the sense he wants to be here if a lucrative offer comes in!

Hmm, not sure why it is a blessing in disguise if he doesn't want to be here (though I have seen nothing in pre-season to suggest that is the case).

I think it’s the worst case scenario to be honest. Our likely top earner inactive for a third of the season and eating a big chunk of our budget.

We neither see his quality on the pitch or have the opportunity to move him on and save on his wages.And his value will only drop as his contract runs out.

I see no blessing here
