Anfield is going to be interesting next week. I’m sure they were insulated from all of this and new players would have been given all sorts of assurances. But, in the end, they are the face of the club. If, as I expect, they have to endure constant ‘cheat’ chants it will become hugely challenging for them.

And that will be happening at every away ground in this country until the end of the season for sure. Quite right too , all those playing for them are on inflated wages paid for by cheating over the years.

I read today, and it escapes me where, that Etihad, as the main sponsor of Man. City, are preparing to sue the EPL. The statement from their Chairman was "we will sue the EPL for every pound they have. They will be bankrupt."

Tie that in with the threats from the UAE and we have a situation where "the good guys" cannot possibly win.

It’s all going to get interesting what with Etihad Airways statement from 2015 coming to light

Yep - Man City have been involved in 2 cases , once in USA in 2015 ish and the other UEFA , where it seems that evidence / statements given in those cases , might contradict the position they are trying to put forward here .

Perhaps we could let them do what they would really love to do more than anything else - leave the league system and head off to set up a European/World elite league. That way we don’t have to deal with them ever again.

I did not see them, but is this a deliberate return to when City fans started the yellow bananas when they were in the second division? if so, there could be some sort of message behind that of we have been lower down before and can get back?

It's being reported in the Times that Manchester Council gave the Manchester City owners " sweetheart deals" first option on 10 year property projects around Manchester. Any idea who the Mayor of Manchester was at this particular time??

One things for sure (as much as I hope City have the book thrown at them) it's going to be funny watching the 'dont politicise football' crowd suddenly politicising football

Ah so possible corruption involving football club ownership and local government is acceptable then in your estimation. Barsies because it involves football as well 🤔!.

Never a surprise tbh. Politics is full of corruption and back handers.

It startes then because it rymed with the name of one of their players.

Cheers for that it jogged my memory and that is what the caption kind of said

Needless to say a number of people who are not fans of Burnham are now trying to link him with the corruption at City

I think it is always worth bearing in mind that City's owners took over in 2008 and he became Mayor in 2017 some nine years later so they had been in place for a long time prior to that.

In any event it would still need to be established whether any land deals broke rules or not and further more if AB had any involvement in those after he became Mayor.
