Last day for season ticket renewals (8 June)

I didn't renew, so whoever is 3,001 on the list should definitely get an email invite from the Club. Main reason was I just didn't feel I could commit to enough games to make it worth while. I didn't go last season, lost interest after the Rooney appointment. Maybe I'm a fair weather fan. One thing i would say is that in my opinion the Club needs a very good challenge for promotion, otherwise I can't see there being a waiting list in 12 months time.

I think it is the clubs wanting this rather than Ticketmaster. They don't want ST holders passing their ticket to somebody else. Season Tickets have always been non transferable but that was impossible to police so a blind eye was turned to passing your ticket for somebody else to use. However now that reselling the seat is an easy process for the clubs to do, they can sell that seat at full price to somebody else.

It will o the opposite. If you can’t go and your only option is to let the club resell your seat then that will let the tourists in.

The clubs would say You have paid for that seat for YOUR use. It is non-transferable and it doesn't come with the right to sublet it even if you do so for no monetary gain. A ST holder gets a discount for going to every game. A ST holder doesn't get to pass that discount on to somebody else, even a family member.

It's a contract between the club and the supporter rather than any Tom, Dick or Harry.

I know what the club would say, I just disagree with it. 90% of season ticket holders unable to attend would offer it to a family member or close friend not any Tom, Dick or Harry or for monetary gain.

Unfortunately some also do this for away tickets occasionally to the detriment of other season ticket holders or evergreen members. Man City being a recent example.

The big difference, is in this circumstance it doesn't disadvantage Argyle in the way passing on a season ticket does.

Unless hacked off Evergreen members decide to cancel their Evergreen subscription, as they feel somehow overlooked or cheated by this practice. Several on here have posted on here that they have done exactly that.
