I certainly hope that our chairman stays on - preferably in his current role

After all the hard work he has put into the club - it's only fair that he should reap the rewards

I sense that if the club backs miron muslic he may take us further than weve ever been....and I'm not talking FA Cup runs
He will reap the rewards by selling up. Hopefully he will make a handsome profit on his investment. While he has ploughed millions into the club I suspect its value has increased by even more...

I sense he feels he is starting to come to the end of the road as chairman and he will be happy to bow out and let others take the club to the next level as a genuinely competitive championship team. His last big job is to make sure the right investor takes over which I am sure he is doing assiduously. Our best custodian of modern times. Hope the next lot can live up to him

From what has been said, he is not selling his shares, rather increasing the number of shares and the money for the new shares goes into the club. Simon has been very clear on this and will not be lining his pockets just yet, if ever.

I thought he was selling his shares gradually? Perhaps I misunderstood. I am almost certain however that he will ultimately sell his shares and quite rightly look to make a profit to reflect the extent the value of the club has increased under his stewardship.

Not yet - the club will issue new shares to the new investors diluting / reducing the overall percentage of SH’s shares . The money paid then goes to the club rather than to SH .

The deal may then include pre- emption rights if SH wishes to sell , or options to purchase at some future date .

I don't think Hallett will be in too much of a rush to hand over his Chair just yet, he is having too much fun, and will want to ensure that the new consortium will be able to continue his journey towards stability in the Championship.

I am sure that plans will be put forward, with Hallett as Chairman still on the board, with the consortium in tow, towards the moving of the Club Shop, the inclusion of Safe Standing, the formation of the offices and extra training pitches at Harpers, as well as the construction of the corners of the ground.

It won't all be done straight away, but it will be something that we supporters can look forward to whilst Hallett is still on the board.

“The ideal structure for Argyle would be similar to the way I became owner,” says Hallett, when asked for an update on his long search for an ownership partner. “The plan is for new investors to gradually buy into the project. We’d issue new shares, so I’d be diluted. And then, at some stage, they’d inevitably become the majority owners and we could have a conversation about whether they buy me out or I continue.

A few observations to register from his interview today

First those “deniers” should have a little more respect for SH. Not over to the fat lady sings I know but I absolutely believe that he is working this through in the best interests of the club and its supporters

Second - if indeed it is a gradual transition by increasing equity - then SH’s equity gets diluted and his wealth is reduced. We need to respect that as a gift to the club he loves. If eventually he sells out it is unlikely that he will realise the investment made (unless the club value increase exceeds the dilutive impact)

Third - the club will have no debt as a result of the transition planned. Unlike other instances of debt raised to finance acquisitions - eg Man Utd

Fourth - it seems likely that SH will seek an orderly transition with him still being a key player for sometime to come. Ensuring stability, and critically maintaining the culture and ethos of our precious club

If - IF - it happens like this will be greatly blessed. And the Hallets will be assured as a key part of Argyle history.

Despite the recent ups and downs we are very lucky indeed to have such people protecting the club we love. (And I do wonder if the next forum is timed to coincide with the likely outcome of this process - maybe, maybe not)

So not sure of his age but surely Simon maybe considering retirement shortly ? Just wondered as this change hits him whether he may have more time to give to the board at Argyle so to speak ? I suppose much depends if he does see himself relocating to the UK on retirement could be a good hobby.
I can't imagine transatlantic flights regularly is something he enjoys. I find the older I get travelling becomes less appealing

I for one am pretty confident Miron Muslic will lead us to safety, and also believe that with him we have our best chance ever of reaching the Prem.
We also know he will be a target if and when he keeps us up. With all the recent positive publicity our chances of attracting substantial investment must have risen massively.

Considering all of the above, it is essential as soon as any investment comes in, to sign off a massive promotion bonus for Miron Muslic.

We need to do everything we can to keep him onboard!

I agree, we don't know him but he does come across as a man of principle who loves a challenge.
He could see himself as being the manager to finally get us into the top flight, something no one else has ever achieved.

I hope so anyways!
