Jephcott is best suited (in my opinion) to crosses from the by-line. Few of our players tend to cross from there ... probably Mayor is the exception but when he does the six yard box is always crowded. We need pace to break and pass from the by-line before eight defenders get back. Hopefully MM can do this.

I agree. It would need Jephers playing really high and even standing in an offside position though otherwise he is never going to get to the cross first. Most, if not all defenders are quicker than him.

It is failing you.

To be fair Cooper didn’t get his nickname ‘assist king’ for nothing and Jephcott did score
It is failing you.

Not true. Actually George Cooper and Luke Jephcott haven’t actually played that much together but Cooper has 3 times assisted a Jephcott goal back in the second half of the 19/20 season. But don’t let the facts get in the way of you slating Jephcott who has the best strike rate of any player currently at Argyle.

About Pasoti

  • Created by David Gadd in 1996, we are one of the oldest UK football sites. The site is now owned by Ian Newell & Ian De-Lar. Our Site Designer is Adam. Pasoti is family friendly and prides itself in being an online community. Give it a try, perhaps you'll like it. We are 100% independent of Plymouth Argyle Football Club. We do though, donate money to the Argyle Academy on a regular basis!

If any member requires individual details of the Good Deeds Fund please contact either Ian Newell or Ian De-Lar, who will be only too happy to discuss the various causes that benefit.
