like most "trials" that come from the Prem they end up staying!I don’t like the new substitute rule myself. Another break in play that could be abused with teams taking a while for the replaced player to leave the pitch and also too many subs could lead to a disjointed performance.
Hope it’s just a trial and fails quickly.

If you spend all week discussing a game plan, the shape and who is marking who, changing 50% of the outfield must lead to confusion?A lot of goals are scored in last few minutes when teams tire. With half the team subbed potentially that likelihood will be reduced. Has it been explained anywhere why this change was necessary? Subs are often made merely as a time wasting measure.
