With man United's plight and Glasgiw Rangers ( Russell martin) losing 9-1 on aggregate to club brugge ....is there a changing of the guard in the game ? Away from a possession based game, and towards a more pragmatic style ??

Club Brugge are a better team than Rangers so Martin was always going to be up against it and should have been more pragmatic, agreed there. Both Rangers and Celtic have seriously regressed over the past few years partly due to bad decision making with transfers and managers.

Man United don't even play that much of a possession based game so it's not due to that. Fair to say though that when they have the ball they fail to create chances.
At this point it doesn't look like the players care about or are playing for Amorim so he could try anything and they won't see it through.

I see Southgate is the favourite despite the grumbles from the Man U fans. At this point he may not be a bad idea. The best thing he did at England was improve team spirit, unite a disunited team and got players wanting to play for England again. Man U's fractured squad could certainly do with some of that right now.

Selling stroppy players that think they are better than they are will not bite them on the arse. The question is why do they turn stroppy - Sancho, Garanacho, Rashford, Mainoo and even Amad all look really unhappy.

Because Man Utd need them gone. 4 of the 5 you mentioned would go down as pure profit for PSR if they are sold. Man Utd are a toxic club. Rotten from the top down. Not building around their youth anymore and trying to buy their way to success.

It absolutely baffles me that so many Man Utd fans and Man Utd fan-pundits are still backing Ruben Amorim when they hounded out Erik ten Hag, despite the fact that ten Hag had a far higher win percentage, achieved a higher league finish and won them a trophy. Really weird.

It's the same fan base that wanted Ole out. Entitled idiots. They signed Ronaldo which ruined his squad and he never wanted to do it. He wanted Sancho, Haaland, Bellingham and the board said no.
