Just been scratching around on google...... I have found something really interesting although totally speculative.....
It involves an address in London, a specialist property investment company and a wealthy acquisition company based in Dublin with a huge property portfolio... And a link to Argyle and the slippery seven.....

sorry, realise it has been mentioned before now but without the link.....
Green property....based in Dublin (worth 1.2 billion) and with an impressive portfolio in the Uk and Ireland...right type of properties as well.
Uk address is 35 Berkeley Square, London.... An address with several property investment companies registered there....one being berkshire investment capital ltd, Home park seems to fit their target property type...
Anyway...a couple of the senior team at Green are ex kpmg who were appointed to oversee the problems at connaught under sir roys leadership. If you dig in to the senior team there are a few connections...
purely speculative but could be something in it?

I have to say that regarding the mastpoint members....in my opinion Rob Lucas would be able to pull strings most effectively.
Home park becoming a theme park?? Great situation to capitalize on the tourists from both Devon and Cornwall.
Anyway, one day the truth will come out so we will have to continue with the speculations for now......

my initial hunch was that it was a consortium involving JP McManus...

Fits the bill as an irishman, has considerable wealth, and would have links with Suroy (a link of some degree to the M7 is widely touted on here)

The only thing that against this conspiracy is that surely he would know the football creditor rule from his time at MUFC (albeit not that he would have had to experience it, but i imagine the ruling was the same when he was a major shareholder at Man Ure).
