CH 21 starts from which we amassed 36 points.
Luca Ashby-Hammond 13 starts from which we amassed 10 points.

I'm sure there are numerous mitigating factors, but those figures in blunt isolation tell a story!
Interesting, but the stats do not mean much unless the 10 other players in the team were fixed same selections in the 33 games in total.

Absolutely QG, i neither have the time or inclination to work out the league position of the opposition at the time of said game - or what the starting 11 looked like.
Its an interesting exercise for example of the 25 games Matty Sorinola started we've got 29 points, Ross has started 5 games less (20) and amassed more points (30).
Its far from conclusive scientific evidence, but in isolation we'd be relegated if Luca played every game and in the play offs if Conor did - which actually backs up what i've witnessed since August.

I do not understand why this is even a debate. Of course Luca Ashby-Hammond is capable of a good game and Connor Hazard can have a bad game but there is a huge difference in quality. LAHs range of saves is smaller than Hazards and he makes far more serious errors. He probably edges it on distribution but that is marginal, especially given the way we now play. Hazard is our no 1, Luca Ashby-Hammond is the reserve keeper. Simple as that.

We dont normally have this debate about keepers, our no 1 is our no 1. Not sure why we keep having it this season.

Spot on, I'll be frank and say some people simply don't seem to like Connor Hazard, on any objective watching of them he is a significantly better goalkeeper than Luca Ashby-Hammond. That's not to say Luca Ashby-Hammond is awful but I don't think he is anything better than a backup standard at League One level to be honest, and given the not inconsiderable number of errors you could argue we could do with better as a number 2, but given that's what he was signed for that's not totally unreasonable. I actually think it's an odd debate.

As a rule a keeper starts the first game of the season and is then an ever present in the team for all league games and the FA Cup with the back up goalie playing in the League Cup (or whatever the latest sponsor is) and the Vertu Trophy.
This season has been the exception with Connor getting injuries giving Luca an opportunity. This probably won’t happen again for another 20 years,at least l hope so.

100 percent. By my observations across the season, Conor performs in the 6/10 - 9/10 performance range and Luca performs in the 4/10 - 8/10 range. Both will have good or bad individual moments that will confirm people's particular agendas about either player, but that's how I personally see them.

Watching the news is terrifying right now, seeing war and destruction everywhere, but then I read this thread, and see people seriously suggesting Luca Ashby-Hammond is better than Hazard, and I begin to wonder if nuclear destruction would really be that much of a bad thing.

It's quite simple really Ashby-Hammond isn't as bad as everyone makes out.

Conor Hazard isn't as good as everyone makes out.

Conor Hazard is better than Ashby-Hammond.

Neither are as good as a number of keepers we've had in recent years and we should be looking for better for next season.
