This situation reminds me of a player we had many moons ago who played a very similar role to Freddie. He was called Mark Damerall, a very good, talented skillfull player very much as Freddie Issaka. He sadly never made a success of professional football but was a very good local leagues player for many years. I sincerely hope that Freddie can progress in the professional game, he is undoubtedly talented, it's just being able to produce it day after day, game after game, that's the obvious issue it would appear.

In retrospect, it probably wasn’t a good idea sending Issaka to Gateshead. I don’t know if Argyle can recall him considering that wages have not been paid, but that might be a good idea. He definitely needs to go out on loan- but somewhere stable and where he is wanted. It’s a shame he has been deprived of reserve team football at Argyle and was not sent out on loan earlier in his career. This must have hampered his development.
The trouble is he is not getting experience when he is a substitute coming on in the 85 th minute

Just seen on twitter that there seems to be something positive going on behind the scenes, apparently something posted at Companies house
Hasn't stopped the club from being out under a transfer embargo today, standard practice when wages aren't paid.

We can pull him out soon, but they can't replace him.

Very different circumstances between Mark and Freddie. Mark was not an apprentice/trainee at Argyle in the same way as Freddie was but played in local football until he was about 24 when Argyle gave him a belated chance. I played against him in sunday league football when he was about 19, he played for Shakespeare [who were a very good side] and i can confirm that he was very talented and very quick. My old man said that Argyle should take a look at him but they didn't until much later when it was probably a bridge too far and i think Argyle were very much struggling anyway.Played golf with him a few times, very decent bloke, think he still plays for the legends.

If we recall him next week it will mean another failed loan - his third - I thought he was going to be an asset but it looks like he doesn't have the work ethic.
So just to clarify. Gateshead's financial melt down is all Freddie's fault? He has more influence than I thought.

It could get worse for Freddie.

The first outward signs of a problem was when Cattermole 'banished' a group of contracted players a couple or three weeks into the season... exiled to the so called 'bomb squad'. Whatever the reason behind that it still stands that their only win this season came when these players were involved. Coincidentally, one of the bomb squad is our former player Dom Telford.

The worse the results get, the more the temptation will be for whoever is left in charge there to roll the dice... bin Lee Cattermole off, reinstate the bomb squad, promote a senior player to manager, and hope that changes the narrative from 'doomed' to a 'the boys are back in town' vibe.

The implication on Freddie, were he to remain there, is if he's only been an 80+ minute bit part substitute without the bomb squad in the dressing room, he won't be involved at all should they return 🙄

I don't think its nonsense at all, just comparing eras, seems to me these days if we’re not “offended” were “anxious“ about anything instead of getting your head down and backside up and getting on with it.
Problem is the snowflakes are making it so difficult for those who really need help
And who really needs help and who doesn't? Perhaps you can tell us as it sounds very easy.
And of course its nonsense. There is no comparison in 1920s UK to 2020s. Society has completely changed. In many ways for the better but not always. But I do think there is a lack of resilience. Life gets very comfortable and people struggle to cope with setbacks.

1-1 HT, again, a bit like Alty on Tuesday that represents encouragement as Worthing are unbeaten in six and knocking on the door of the play offs.

That's Heed's first goal in a first half all season 😳
