Freddie will not learn to play the 'Argyle' way by being sent out to another club, and so he hasn't been sent out to play somewhere else.

He is and will be around the first team for training and experience of the way he is required to play in our first team.

In fact this applies to all our youngsters of his age and potential.

He, like WJD and C. Roberts, need a loan to a L1 or L2 club.

We should all be hoping both Truro and/or Torquay get promoted to the conference this year as that’s where our first year pros should be sent to hone their craft. Sending them to Parkway and Tavistock every season, with respect, doesn’t cut it.
Exeter used to do this as well. Maybe they should stop having ideas above their station and give our lads some experience at a decent level.

Has potential, but nowhere near ready for Championship this season or next. Needs loan to Div 2 to get regular starts and league experience.

Bags of potential. Yes a loan would probably help him but if he’s gonna get minutes with the first team and gain experience that way I for one will be more than happy.

Thought he did well up against one of the better RBs in this league, Made a couple of wrong decisions. but all wide attacking players do he was no worse than IC7 in that aspect, kept showing for the ball and a couple of bits of class. Goal was really smart movement and a cool finish. For his age couldn't have gone much better. He isn't going to be a game changer yet but certainly wasn't out of his depth. Going to buck the trend and say he should stay with us and develop we just need to temper our expectations.

Agree with that, a local loan at a smaller South West club would be ideal.
Think Fred had a very good opponent in KKH, who is as good as they get at full back in the Championship and his main attribute is his pace which of course negated Fred's!
He's definitely got something, will develop with experience, needs that confidence to really drive at full backs and then not overthink it, once he cut inside and just needed to hit it but ran into traffic.
Decision making comes with game time though.

Not ready yet, but nearly. He will learn quickly from matches like these, nothing better than experience (good and bad) to develop a player with potential.

I don't have a problem with young players of high potential who aren't quite there yet getting the occasional opportunity to further their development, even if it affects short term results a little bit.

It's not wise or realistic to put him out on loan. He's barely 18 and punting him off on his own to a club hundreds of miles away to train in a park and play League 2 football is a recipe for disaster.

So he either gets a bit of game time for Argyle or he stagnates. Giving him the occasional cameo and picking him ahead of Bundu on rare occasions when our first choice wide players Whittaker and Cissoko aren't both available, isn't going to be the decisive factor in whether or not we stay up.

But it might just be decisive in helping Issaka to eventually become a top class Championship player or better.
Exeter would be a good loan move for him if he could get over wearing that awful shirt. They play the right way could stay at home and I think he may tear up league 1 in a way that Waine wouldnt

A spell at Torquay didn't do Randell any harm and apparently the club must think that Torquay must "play the Argyle way" judging by Will Jenkins Davies having two spells there.

Really? Took his goal well but apart from that, in terms of his wing play there was no end product. Interesting how views change when its one of our own.

Funny sure that's not what we said last season about KKH ! Especially after Bristol City

I think we all saw his value, how many wingers got the better of him? I think most Argyle fans saw his quality and he's a year further forward with his development.

It's not often I agree with you but there we go, astonishing things happen. I thought he looked out of his depth more often than not. He'll get there though.

He has talent and is athletically gifted but the Championship is full of defenders with equal speed so that aspect that probably gave him the edge in age group games is not as great. Also the defenders are more experienced so read him far easier. He now has to learn his position again.

I don't know if he is a winger or a striker but based on what I have seen (sub appearances last and this season, and watched the game back from Saturday) he needs a lot of coaching and support to make that next step. On Saturday he was very predictable but KKH is a good player, he got over excited several times when receiving a pass, so missing it or trying to do to much to quickly and losing the ball... that will come from experience...more concerning was out of possession. He was always a second or so behind the oppostion player so was reacting and then chasing. He would go into over enthusiastic puppy mode, racing around chasing, it's how he got sent off at qpr (he almost had the same outcome last year against Leeds i think) and I am amazed how much of a free ride he has got for the first Preston goal...KKH was his man but he let him get a free run on the defence and Bali had to cover but couldn't get across. He may be a young free spirit but his team mates need to rely on and trust him, so that positional aspect needs lots of work.

That is trying to be constructive because he looks like a very raw but gifted player, but there is a lot of work to do...if that is from cameos with us or a loan deal I don't know.

And one final, probably contentious, point... why is Ogbeta not talked about as a wide left option. He is not a defender, he gives it a go but he has no clue about positioning, but he is strong and quick and has shown he can be effective going forward(I think the Bolton fans mentioned this) and while he is not as mercurial as Freddie perhaps away from home he could be a more pragmatic choice until Ibbi is back.

WJD had a bad injury and has been sent back to Torquay to catch up on his game time that he missed out on. He is now 20 years of age and a decision will have to be made as to whether we keep him or not at the end of this season.
