In the 90’s I used to run Calypso Sunbed Hire.
I can remember four occasions I delivered to Argyle players.
David Byrne - he didn’t burn!
Simon Collins - showed me where he had been scratched right across his rib cage with four sharp finger nails from an opponent.
Richard Landon - had a picture of himself on the ceiling above his bed!
Chris Billy! Yes - Apparently it was for his girlfriend!

I visited Paul Wotton's house a few times to collect shirts he was donating to raise money during administration.
He was actually renting the house from Nick Chadwick.

When Schumacher first moved down, he first lived in Mannamead Road, his back entrance was opposite my Garage, told him to shift his car as it was a service lane and not for parking, after i found out who he was!

Rhys Wilmot was at The Hyde Park Summer Fair (I can't remember if it was infants or juniors, I'm going back 20+ years) letting the little kids take penalties at him in a small goal. My elder daughter (who was only little at the time) wanted to have a go. You could see that he was thinking this will be an easy one to save as a cute little girl with floppy blond hair took the ball. She placed it on the spot and promptly drilled it powerfully and low into the corner of the goal with Wilmot hardly moving an inch. The look on his face was priceless to see.

Mine occurred during the second half of the Reserves’ 2-0 win over Swindon at the start of the 78/79 season.

The first team had the day off, after suffering their customary Friday night defeat at Southend. Meanwhile, the fact that I was still able to fit into my school uniform meant I’d been excused from the family’s annual Dingles visit and could squeeze even more value out of my season ticket instead.

I had the Lyndhurst almost all to myself and, having spent the first half watching us attack the Barn Park from a nearby vantage point, ambled over towards the Devonport to find a similar spot for the second.

Having found a barrier to lean against, I looked up to find I’d been joined by the scorer of our consolation goal the night before: Gary Megson!

We gave each other a brief nod and watched the second half in companionable silence.
