We know Fleetwood, Wycombe and Cambridge are three physical teams in League One, are there any more physical type teams we can expect to struggle against?
If we are set up to be good against the decent sides and that’s detrimental to how we play against the few physical sides, we’ll do ok. Unfortunately it never works out that way, but it’s got to be better than the other way around.

Absolutely ridiculous rule about the subs.
Are you talking about a maximum of 3 opportunities to make substitutions? Done to prevent the game becoming too start-stop. Do you really want the game potentially interrupted on 10 occasions for a substitution?

An utter defeatist attitude to just concede and give into physical teams.

The earring signs were there front the beginning and we didn’t do enough to equal them.

Those are the games you lose and almost roll over because we weren’t able to match.

Come up with a suitable action to counter. We scout games and should be able to deter teams being so easily rampant on our fragile players.

We know Fleetwood, Wycombe, Lincoln and Cambridge are four physical teams in League One, are there any more physical type teams we can expect to struggle against?

Last season against those four teams we didn't win any games and picked up 4 points from a possible 24.

l think Accrington changed their style last year.

l might be wrong, but lm sure l read somewhere their approach was more physical than the years before.

Why don’t we realise that we have to change tactics for these type of games. Every season it’s the same result we just don’t learn no matter who’s in charge. Some games you need to be physical. We will not be going anywhere trying to play tip Tappy football every game. We are too predictable.

Maybe, but playing teams who specialise in a physical style at their own game, isn’t such a good idea. The answer has to be out-football them, surely.

l agree, for that to happen you have to have a cutting edge. And maybe this part of the team will need the most time to solve.

l think over the last few years we have seen flashes but if you look around in this league at the type of talent maybe that is the area we need to find better.

Schumacher is very down in his post match interview, one of his most downbeat interviews, he's desperately disappointed.

I can take encouragement from that.

He sees the flaws for what they were and honesty is basic.

It was poor and we simple didn’t deal with them.

I expect changes for the next match.

Zero panic this end, just bitter disappointment.
Agreed. Never had any control but also didn’t give them many chances second half. There was pressure but otherwise they’re only chance was the one that hit the post.

Offebsively not good, and the subs didn’t work. But this will be a difficult place to come, they were physical and worked hard.

From the highlights a couple of things. Cooper was easily beaten for the first goal, Edwards was caught up pitch in the 88th minute for the winning goal and was that hand ball on the goal line from Cooper's effort in the last minute?

Do people remember the MK Dons discussion we had about Houghton about his sending off. How he got himself in bad defensive situations. I never thought he is great defensively as a CDM.

Well he is a perfect example. Allows a player to get past him via touchline. He gets back. He is then in right back position. Again it’s too easy for a player to beat him. Twice he is beaten that allows them to get in dangerous situations.

And people want us to play one CDM with him in that position.

Look at Houghton, it’s not good for a midfielder. Do we honestly think a Butcher, Camara or Randell gets beaten that easily? And twice.

Just watched the Sky highlights- no wonder Schuey is livid- what were the players thinking giving Fleetwood the freedom of Highbury for their 2nd goal

Should have stopped the run from the touchline - maybe Houghton could have taken one for the team

Fine margins & poor decisions costs games as shown by today's result

Agree that was poor from Houghton but Edwards also got beaten easily and Cooper should have caught the ball. Overall a terrible goal to concede so late on. Also the first goal was poor defensively as well. No wonder Schuey wasn’t happy in his post match interview.

l agree. Others were at fault.

Yet it’s something l’ve noticed with Houghton for a while. He is great on the ball. Just not good in defensive situations.

That goal has nothing to do with being bullied. It’s similar to weaknesses we had last season. Just bad defending down the sides of us.

Whatever 3ATB formation you play that is where you target Argyle and unfortunately get joy.
