Imperious stuff from Norris yesterday.

There are still nine races left. He couldn't, could he?
He very much could, especially with 3 sprint races to go too. Piastri could be the king maker here, Mclaren are in the position of collecting 1-2's, something Red Bull aren't. A 1-2 would turn a 7 point swing in to a minimum 10 point swing, that gap will come down a lot quicker then, especially when you chuck Mercedes in the mix too!

We could be in for a great end to the season.

Logan Sargeant dropped by Williams for the rest of the season, replaced by their reserve driver Franco Colapinto who is currently in F2.

Well that was interesting wasn't it? Someone buy Ferrari's strategists a beer, who knew they had it in them.

I'm sure it was an oversight on their part: I doubt they'll be quite so clever next time (or the time after that. Or that... :D)

Mind you, I'm scratching my head at the "bold" claim of one-stopping at Monza: In the back of my head I'm sure that I read or understood it to be the safer circuits to gamble a one-stop strategy, given the high-speed of the circuit and the longer-than-normal pitlane, if it looks as if everyone else if going to two-stop.

This season is the perfect illustration of why I'll always stick up for F1. It has a million problems and I hate what Liberty are doing in a lot of ways, but F1 by is nature will always be cyclical, and seemingly immovable dynasties can collapse quite quickly.

It's so good to see McLaren back at the front. It absolutely sucked to see them tugging around in 17th.

The one thing I disliked about Murray Walker was his blithe assumption that everyone else was like him in wanting to see Ferrari winning. No! They are Italian so I don't want them to win! Even with a British driver I don't want to see them win. Given that an awful lot of the teams are based in the UK these days it is hard to judge who should be supported as 'British', but Ferrari ain't.

You would have got good odds on Red Bull finishing 3rd in the constructors this year after Max won 7 of the first 10 races. This is turning in to a fantastic season, lets see how much of a title battle we get, I still think its on...

Next year has potential to be an absolute blockbuster.

The one thing I disliked about Murray Walker was his blithe assumption that everyone else was like him in wanting to see Ferrari winning.

Pretty sure he was only waxing lyrical about Ferrari when fat Nige was driving for them. Yes, Murray got excited about Ferrari and Monza when mentioning them in the same sentence, but then I aways got the impression he'd get excited if he was having beans-on-toast for his tea.

I like to see Ferrari doing well to be honest. F1 is much more fun when they're in the mix. Those few years when they were completely dominant at the start of the century were pretty dull, but that's the only time they've been consistently miles clear since the 1960s.

Leclerc and Sainz are as likeable a driver pairing as any this season too. I can't wait to see how Hamilton gets on next season. I can't help but think that if he were in Norris's McLaren he'd be favourite for the title now, as good as Lando is.

He got pretty excited about Damon Hill's Pizza Hut didn't he? (Ask your dad, kids)

Ferrari are special because theyā€™ve been in F1 from the start. That doesnā€™t wash with me as the have also boycotted races in protest to get what they want. McLaren and Williams havenā€™t been there from the start but they have shown more loyalty to F1 than Ferrari.

Like Argylegames, Iā€™m also not a Ferrari fan, but I do like Carlos and Charlie. It seems a bit strange wanting them to do well so Iā€™m looking forward to Hamilton driving for them so I can feel good about disliking Ferrari again.

Anyway, my all-time favourite racing driver (Gilles Villeneuve) drove for Ferrari. And the 126C3 was, for me, the best ever looking F1 car. So :raspberry:

I remember seeing one of those on display in Milan once, in the gallery next to the Duomo. I couldn't get over how tiny it was. A modern F1 car is probably double its dimensions. An absolutely beautiful piece of engineering.
