I'm not surprised at all that we are about to sell out the first match of the season in the cup against our closest rivals under the lights at HP.

Baffling that some are tbh!

Anyway - I think we should play our strongest possible 11. A win against them will really whet the appetite for Stockport and give the confidence a massive boost, for both the fans and players.

Carabao Cup Round One Pre-match Stat Pack

Plymouth Argyle v Exeter City

● Plymouth Argyle are unbeaten across their last four home games against Exter City (W2 D2), with those four matches averaging 4.25 goals per game.
● Exeter City have faced Plymouth in four previous League Cup ties, all in the first round, progressing from all four, most recently in 1985-86.
● Plymouth have won seven of their last eight League Cup first round ties, their last three all coming on home soil whilst scoring 2+ goals in each.
● Exeter have been eliminated from four of their last five League Cup first round ties that have come away from home, the exception coming with a 7-0 victory over Cheltenham in 2022.

Can't wait for Monday night when enforced Cold Turkey comes to an end & i can watch on Sky 💚

I am also suprised, I dont think the crowd will be quite the usual make up - less season ticket holders, more kids who latch on to the derby games - reckon it will be quite rowdy. Will need heavy policing I think
I’m sure it won’t get rowdy. In true Devon Derby style cream teas will be shared and enjoyed between home and away fans

Agreed - and the flip side is that (God forbid!) a defeat would be such a massive downer for fans and players it might well impact the start to the season especially with it being a tough looking bunch of games right from the off...... and I'm not sure I can hack another bloody start like last season.

Anyway, best not to think about that .... A good win under the lights against THEM with a near full-house will be exactly what we want to start the new season and welcome the new recruits.

I see four rows of tickets have magically appeared in Block 18 as well as some seats in the Mayflower. I’ve no idea why the club does that, why not just have them on sale from the start?
It is a bit odd isn't it?
There will have been people trying to sit together who could only see singles and either booked to sit apart or who have now planned on not attending
