France were the much, much better team. To be honest, they should have scored more than the 53.
England made too many rookie errors, gave away too many Penalties.
Despite the English errors though, nothing should be taken away from the French performance. England played bad, but even if they hadn’t, France would have still deserved their victory.
Stakes their claim for the next World Cup. They have to be at least one of the favourites. England, on the other hand, have a lot of work to do.

I had a pal who played for Albion and Devon. Sadly he passed away recently. I’m glad he wasn’t around to watch that debacle.
