So it's a bit odd to post about SV Elvesburg.
But it's not so odd to compare the management of two football clubs ?

Congratulations to chairman ( since 2011) dominick holzer as well as manager vincent wagner....on a terrific achievement.

I believe it is possible for Argyle to secure SV Elvesberg's achievement....one day...and achieve promotion into the top flight....michael foot's lifelong ( and as yet unfulfilled) deeam....

But what does Simon Hallett have to do with SC Elvesberg?

It's something for others to comment , perhaps ?

It just shows what the ceiling of achievement can be for unfashionable clubs.

And perhaps you might even argue that SV Elvesberg are even more unfashionable than Argyle ....or perhaps I should correct myself....used to be less fashionable...

I think I will hold on drawing a comparison until Argyle play in the German league - although as always location may be seen as a barrier to our upwards progress 🙂

Congrats to Elvesberg and local Pasoti-ites

(While I understand why it was merged, this thread does seem a bit all over the place now)

It seems unlikely, as you suggest that Argyle will be applying to join the German league, anytime soon 😉Nonetheless a comparison to what is or has been ( no longer, of course) a smaller club seems both apt and interesting to make .It could be that one day Argyle will be competing against the same type ( english equivalent, of course) of elvesburgs opposition, next season...
Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, weeder Bremen, cologne, Hamburg, RB Leipzig, Schalke ...

A remarkable achievement for all concerned...

Have Argyle something to learn from the Elvesburg story ?? Almost certainly, I would suggest...
