So easy to think of these guys as untouchable isn't it. Just the most awful news.

I remember him as part of that ridiculous Wolves team that had absolutely no business being in the Championship, and then making himself at home at Liverpool.

Off to give the kids a big hug for no other reason than you never know what's around the corner.

As one Liverpool fan said, he always played with a smile on his face and gave it everything. He almost always influenced the game and even when he came on as a sub, it seemed to re-energize the team. A really, really good player still very much in his prime.

Looks like he was going to take the ferry from Santander to Plymouth.

TBH I did think maybe the club have made a conscious decision not to do any announcements in light of today's news.

Personally I don't have an issue if they have, with what has happened it puts everything into perspective. I can wait another day before Wiredu or Pepple or whoever gets announced.
