Slightly off topic, a few new faces to Plymouth this year

I’ve always fancied taking a cruise which stops in Plymouth if only to gauge what my fellow travellers thought of my home town. Question is would I get off being that it’s a tender stop?

I don't go much on tender stops either mate, all that faff and usually ends up in long queues.

I'll go if I really want to hit the destination but port days are really cool aren't they?

Just back from 30 days on the Sky Princess - an 8 day then a 6 day both round the Caribbean and then a 15 day Transatlantic to Southampton. Lovely, except for the Yanks. Can't wait for my 18 dayer on Queen Anne in May.

Whilst searching for concise observations on the Carnival Corporation reorganization, (the prospectus is some 350 pages long) I came across this article. The printed and spoken versions differ slightly.

Having cruised regularly both on sea and rivers since 2009 with a number of different companies, I have empathy with the article. However, I remain an regular cruiser.

Did you see the weather patterns for the mid-Atlantic last week. The fact that we were 24 hours in front of them was of little significance. 7 sea days from Florida to the Azores and then 3 more to Casablanca where we couldn't land because of the swell felt very much like a Transatlantic although it was a long way south, admittedly.

I have received said prospectus. All I can understand is that they are wanting to be registered in Bermuda rather than Panama and there will be one worldwide share issue. As I bought my shares to get the benefits, and I have received more than their cost back again, I shall not worry too much. I agree that, every time I cruise, something has changed (downwards) but it is still an amazing way of seeing the world. Fly and stay seemes amazingly inefficient now.

Just been informed my MSC cruise from Dubai in April 2027 has been cancelled due to the ongoing tensions in the region.
The ship will re-deploy to the bahamas. Been there a few times so have opted to have my money back and look else where. Sad days

It's a crap thing to read. Not what you've written, but it goes to show that travel will be curtailed which is a bad thing.

I’ve not been to Dubai, but I imagine the Bahamas (which I have been to a few times) is way better.

Ive been to both. Wife has only been to the bahamas a few times. It is nice but was looking forward to going somewhere different. Ive been to dubai with work and watched the F1 in Abu Dhabi which was good.

Not sure you can comment Daz, if you haven't been, you don't know.

I've been to Dubai, RAK and Abu Dhabi for holidays, I know what I prefer. I can't comment on the Bahamas though.
